Canadian competition Unmanned System Canada

Each year, in may. the canadian competition USC (Unmanned Systems Canada) is held in a canadian city. The 3 days competition include a presentation of the project, a safety inspection and an unmanned system mission.

The mission consist to take off, fly and land with a unmanned aerial vehicle and use it’s payload to transfert real time imagery to the ground. There is 20 teams participating at this competition.

Results at the competition

• In 2019, VAMUdeS reach the first place for the journal paper and
  fifth place for the mission with their system, Orion;
• In 2018, VAMUdeS reach the fourth place for the mission with their system, Orion;
• In 2016, VAMUdeS reach the first place for the mission and
  fourth place for the journal paper with their system, Artémis;
• In 2015, VAMUdeS reach the first place for the mission and first place for the journal paper with their system, Artémis;
• In 2014, VAMUdeS reach the third place for the mission and first place for the journal paper with their new system, Artémis;
• In 2013, VAMUdeS reach the first place for the mission and first place for the journal paper with their new system, Valkiry 5;
• In 2012, VAMUdeS reach the first place for the mission and first place for the journal paper with their new system, Valkiry 5;
• In 2011, the team arrive in the first position with their UAV Mentor;
• In 2009, the group Élise from Université de Sherbrooke won the first place at the USC competition. Nevertheless, VAMUdeS return home with the third place;
